Wherever The Struggle is the autobiographical account of one man's journey in political activism over some sixty years. Bob Newlands’ lifelong commitment to the socialist cause has led him through a life of campaigning, revolutionary agitation, party work—and perhaps most remarkably—highly dangerous undercover actions in South Africa against the apartheid regime. 

His reflections on the highs and lows of a life of political struggle are an inspiration to all, and a reminder that despite the hardships that define the politics of any era, the greatest value comes from keeping the faith, staying committed, and never doubting that a better world is possible.
